- Hum Aapke Hain Koun released in Liberty cinema in Mumbai and ran for 125 weeks, which is quite an achievement for a Hindi movie to run that long in theaters at that time.
- A special screening of the movie was even held at the president house for the President of India at the time, Sri Shankar Dayal Sharma.
- Madhuri's Fee Madhuri was paid a salary of Rs. 27,535,729 for the role of Nisha which was quite a high fee during the time.
- First To Make 1 Billion Hum Aapke Hain Koun was the first movie to cross 1 billion mark. In 1994 for a film to collect this much was a big achievement.

- It is a remake of old Bhojpuri film Nadiya Ke Paar (1982). The film was made under Rajshri Productions. The film starred Sachin, Sadhana Singh, Inder Thakur, Mitali in lead roles.
